With the season winding down Woodview’s Team Eaglebots put on another impressive showing taking first place in a 24 team tournament. With this decisive win, the team advances to the State tournament on February 25th.

This has been an impressive season for the rookie team, placing higher than any other rookie team in their first competition and even achieving a perfect round score in a competition. The team also completed an optional skills challenge based on programing and driving skills. Despite only having a week to figure out the programing they came in 9th out of over 500 teams in the state of Indiana.

Environmental Technology has been proud to sponsor the Eaglebots this season, the team’s dedication and hard work have brought them far this, their rookie year. This group of kids should be congratulated not only on their success competition but their willingness to learn, execute, and work as a team. Programs like the VEX IQ which the Eaglebots competed are a great way for the students to express their ingenuity and creativity while learning skills for their future. We wish the Eaglebots continued success in their future competition and in their education. A special thank you to Jake Simons for his time and commitment to this team and project, if it weren’t for teachers like him programs like this wouldn’t exist and students would miss out on this valuable opportunity.
