8R-1-4 (2009-10-07): This software version addresses the problem with units which were having issues communicating via the web interface across different network segments. The ability to add a default gateway has been added to resolve this issue.

After installing this update the main page should display:

Main Firmware: NCTEST8-2-1
Comm Firmware: NCTEST8R-1-4

Files included:

  • nc8cfg.htm (nc8cfg14.htm in the zip file): The configuration web page. The IP config has been modified to allow setting of default gateway. Also added "Active Configuration" listing. When the IP config is changed and the NETCOM is reset the "Active Configuration" should match that report by an IP config "Fetch". nc8cfg14.htm will be renamed to nc8cfg.htm during install.
  • nctest8r.crp: This is the firmware. It allows the IP config to set a default gateway. It also fixes a related issue where the NETCOM would save a default gateway to the parameter list but it was not being copied to the route table.
