May 23, 2008: Current ADH–2A COM and ADH–3COM dehydrator production uses improved brushless diaphragm compressors with a life exceeding 50,000 hours in place of the original 8,000 hour brush-type units. When operated at the recommended 10 percent cycle the new compressors increases the nominal life from 9.2 years to 57.25 years. Upgrade kits are available which directly replace earlier compressors with a new brushless unit. Read more...

May 12, 2008: The web design aids DAP™–3 and DAP™–4 have been updated to include the APS–4C and SC–40C. DAP™–3 Design Assistant divides a snow melting heater load between an APS–4C Snow Switch® and the minimum number of SC–40C Satellite Contactors required. DAP™–4 Design Assistant performs the same calculations as DAP™–3 while adding a pro forma bill-of-materials that includes cost information in a report format.

July 17, 2007: (updated July 27, 2007) The instruction manual for the APS–3C, APS–4C and SC–40C Snow Switches is available.

July 12, 2007: Product Update. The EUR–5A, APS–3C, APS–4C, and SC–40C Snow Switches all feature calibrated high limit thermostats for heater and property protection. The original range was 40°F to 50°F (4°C to 10°C). Several customers suggested increasing the range, so we did. Read on to learn more.

February 11, 2007: TechNote 1: The Beginning.

February 1, 2007: Snow/Ice Melting Controls Add Energy Management Computer Interface.

November 17, 2006: The first phase of the construction of the new Winter Test Facility is essentially complete. New products are already undergoing testing with excellent results.

August 21, 2006: 2007 Price Changes. ETI will publish 2007 Price Lists on September 1 that become effective September 15.

August 4, 2006: Order Priorities. As a rule, ETI tries to ship orders on a first-in, first-out basis. However, there are conditions that make this policy against Federal Law! The case in point is DO and DX priority orders placed by the Department of Defense and related agencies and subcontractors.

July 5, 2006: ETI RoHS Policy and Implementation Plans. Our response to the RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Directive pertaining to products shipped to member countries of the EU (European Union) is simple. Every product that ETI plans to continue selling will be RoHS compliant.

July 26, 2006: Next Generation Products. During the next few months, we will begin the introduction of the next generation of some our most popular products. We discussed the many new product features with freeze protection experts. Without exception, they were impressed with the new features. However, they were concerned with their effect on prices.

June 23, 2006: NewETI Outdoor Test Facility. Last winter we built a temporary test facility at our new location to replace the one we left behind. Even though the new facility worked exceptionally well, we decided to add capabilities and to make it permanent.

June 2, 2006: Sean Dolgos joins Inside Sales.

June 2, 2006: Steve Estep joins Operations.

May 18, 2006: GPT–3 price reduction. We are pleased to announce that recent changes in production will allow us to lower prices on the GPT–3 Freeze Protection Thermostat.
