Director of Heat Trace Sensing and Control Markets Job Description

The Director of Heat Trace Sensing and Control Markets will develop and execute a strategy to ensure continued business growth for Environmental Technology, Inc. (ETI.) The focus of this position is to work with key customers and the ETI team to design and promote Environmental Technology, Inc. programs and products in the heat trace and environmental sensing and control marketplace. The position will work with the sales organization leadership, the business office, the engineering group, operations, and our key customers to market and sell our existing products as well as future product lines. This position will also analyze industry trends and customer needs to ensure our product pipeline remains fresh and profitable. This position will also oversee a variety of clerical, administrative and sales support activities to ensure optimal support of this market sector. This position reports to the President of Environmental Technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the business development strategy for the heat trace market.
- Identify and execute plans to expand our product portfolio in key identified areas.
- Research and analyze key market players, trends and activities and assist in translating this data into an effective product roadmap.
- Coordinate activity between the sales, engineering and ETI leadership to develop appropriate business justification for new product development.
- Develop and cultivate industry new OEM and Partner relationships
- Continue to build relationships with existing key OEM and industry customers.
- Work with leadership to define both a short term strategy to capture current market/revenue growth opportunities and long term strategic vision.
- Support marketing activities including trade/exhibition shows and seminars.
- Generate leads for new sales
- Close system generated sales leads while providing attention to develop these leads with respect to application and growth opportunity
- Follow up on sales activity
- Develop and execute market planning
- Performance monitoring management

Education and Experience:
- Bachelors/Business degree – Preferably in engineering or technical field
- Heat Trace industry experience
- Minimum 5 years of sales/business development experience
