Next Generation Products
During the next few months, we will begin the introduction of the next generation of some our most popular products. We discussed the many new product features with freeze protection experts. Without exception, they were impressed with the new features. However, they were concerned with their effect on prices.
We put their fears at rest by explaining our policy of "greater value, not higher prices" for the new features. That is, we are not increasing prices for the new features. The new versions will sell for the same price as their predecessors do. However, inflationary price increases are a fact of life over which we have no control.
Since customers often have to quote systems well into the future, we will make the current products available for at least a year. If there is sufficient demand, availability will continue beyond a year.
The next generation products scheduled for introduction this heating season are backwards compatible with the current units. That is, the new generation can replace current products electrically and mechanically. This capability can be used to upgrade existing systems.
We will announce the first group of next generation products as soon as safety testing has been completed. With luck, this will be in August.
